Biography

Jahanshah Boroumand, was born on a snowy winter day, January 29  in Tehran.
His father Abdol Ali Adib Boroumand, an attorney, more known for his works in arts, as epic poet of Iran and his mother Farangis Amini, a true lady, devoted wife and dedicated mother both personable and connoisseur of fine art who (specially the mother) paved the way for the education of their Children Pounran (daughter), Shahriar (son) and Jahanshah the oldest. Their encouragement provided great incentive for Jahanshah to select a sound career, as well as a hobby of his interest.
After finishing his primary school in Roshdi Jahanshah entered Alborz High School,an institution famous through out Iran for its discipline and high quality of education.
Next stage was to gain admission to National University of Iran, Dental School, where he earned his D.M.D degree.
Dr.Boroumand pursued his post Graduate work at Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine, Boston USA, In 1978 in periodontics, subsequent to which he continued his scientific work as research fellow for a year at Boston University.
Concurrent with his studies, Jahanshah’s exuberant soul Induced him to select a hobby in Music,under the guidance of late master Barazandeh. His aspiration for perfection soon lead him to the position of one the finest violinists of Iran, admired by grand masters such as Parviz Yahaghi Habibollah Badiee whose style he emulates considerably.
His devotion to his profession as dentist and his hobby as violinist has won him a lofty status among the contemporary musicians as well as the respect of his professional peers, and definitely carved him a niche in the Musical History of Iran.
Presently he is teaching as a part time associate professor of Periodontics at Azad University and works in his private specialized clinic 5 days a week performing periodontics as well as implantology.
